Eng. Mohamed Al Shehab, VP – Corporate Finance & Investor Relations – Bapco Energies (formerly Noga Holding)
Mohamed Al Shehab has extensive experience in the banking and corporate finance industry, in the capital market and syndicated loan transactions, financial performance, and analysis. He joined The Oil and Gas Holding Company B.S.C.(c) (“Noga holding”) as Portfolio and Investor Relation Manager – Investments in 2020. Mohamed currently holds the Vice President, Corporate Finance & Investor Relations role at Nogaholding, where he is responsible for securing funding for capital investment opportunities. Mohamed’s role also includes setting and executing the financing strategy for the Group, as well as evaluating investment opportunities in line with the group’s sustainability strategy and maintaining investor relations for Nogaholding portfolio companies. Mohamed is also involved in the corporate and ESG strategy for the group and leads the risk management function at Noga Holding. Mohamed also served as a Vice President at Barclays Bank PLC, in London, United Kingdom and he was also Assistant Vice President and a Business Analyst at Barclays Corporate Investment Bank. His roles at the Bank included risk management, product origination, coverage, and business management & strategy for International corporations. Mohamed Al Shehab holds an M.Sc. degree in Managerial and Financial Economics and a Certificate in Global Risk Management from HEC Paris. Mohamed earned a BSc in Business Administration from the McDonough of Business at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, U.S.A, majoring in Finance and Operations and Information Management with a double minor in Economics and Philosophy. He also holds a Certificate in Advanced Credit Skills and passed CFA qualification Level 1, 2, and 3 examinations.
Dr. Muftooh Ur Rehman Siddiqi – Aston University
Dr. Muftooh Siddiqi earned his industrial doctorate degree from the Advanced Forming Research Centre at the University of Strathclyde, UK. Prior to this, he honed his skills working around the globe, where he spearheaded the design, manufacturing, and remanufacturing of various products across diverse sectors. Dr. Siddiqi has disseminated his findings through international conference presentations, journal research papers, books, and patents, establishing himself as a thought leader in the field of Industrial Symbiosis and Circular Economy. At Aston University, Dr. Siddiqi serves as the Director of MSc Smart Manufacturing Programme, where he has played a pivotal role in developing and leading programs focused on smart and sustainable manufacturing. He has also mentored numerous PhD and MSc students, nurturing the next generation of scholars and practitioners in the field of remanufacturing. In addition to his academic endeavours, Dr. Siddiqi has lent his expertise as a consultant to address industrial robotics and manufacturing challenges for leading UK aerospace and automotive companies, including Rolls-Royce, Boeing, KUKA Robotics, and Siemens Energy. Dr. Siddiqi’s involvement in various projects underscores his commitment to advancing the principles of remanufacturing and sustainability. Notable projects he has contributed to include the RECLAIM project, the H2GLASS project, and the AIMRAREM project.
Dr. Abdulmueen Bogis – American Teaching Fellow, Division of Landscape Architecture – PLAD, College of Architecture – University of Oklahoma
Dr. Abdulmueen Bogis is a visionary artist and landscape architect, passionately dedicated to cultivating sustainable urban environments through the fusion of art and science. With an unwavering commitment to community engagement and harnessing the power of green infrastructure, he endeavors to build resilient cities that thrive on the harmony between nature and humanity. Mueen’s journey has been marked by self-motivation and an insatiable quest for knowledge, resulting in a remarkable career spanning 14 years, encompassing both professional and academic excellence. Armed with a doctoral degree and a collection of 19 prestigious accolades, including recognition from esteemed institutions like ASLA, Land8, Stanley Abbott, Virginia Tech, and The Digital Landscape Architecture (DLA), Mueen stands as a multifaceted creative designer at the forefront of his field. Dr. Bogis’ pioneering research centers around the “Ecological and Aesthetic Factors Preferences of Urban Riparian Corridor in Arid Regions: A Visual Choice Experiment”, a powerful economic approach to understanding how humans make trade-offs for unmaintained ecological landscapes. Through the ingenious application of the Discrete Choice Experiment (DCE), also known as ChoiceBased Conjoint (CBC), he unveils the intricate interplay between ecological qualities and aesthetic values. His work empowers landscape architects with a potent tool to minimize ecological losses in favor of aesthetically pleasing landscapes, thereby advancing the frontiers of visual preference research further into the domain of empirical studies. Dr. Bogis’ current research, “Sustainable Community-Based Design Solutions Encountering Climate Change: A Heat-Related Case Study of the John F. Kennedy Neighborhood in Oklahoma City,” funded by NASA, further expands his expertise in climate adaptation. Over the past decade, Dr. Bogis has immersed himself in an array of transformative projects and research endeavors. His areas of expertise and interest span to water-sensitive design, cultural ecosystem services, resilient infrastructure, climate change adaptation, biomimicry, and environmental justice.
Dr. Amer Habibullah – Department of Landscape Architecture – King Abdulaziz University
Dr. Amer Habibullah is an accomplished professional with a distinguished career in the field of Landscape Architecture and urban design spanning over a decade. As the co-founder and current president of the Saudi Society of Landscape Architecture, he has played a pivotal role in advancing the discipline in Saudi Arabia. At King Abdulaziz University, Dr. Habibullah holds the position of Assistant Professor of History and Theories of Landscape Architecture. He earned his master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Landscape Architecture from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, USA. Within his teaching and research, he explores diverse areas such as, cultural heritage landscapes, sustainable tourism, urban ecology, landscape planning, and management. Throughout his career, Dr. Habibullah has been recognized and honored for his exceptional work in landscape architectural design. Notably, his team was awarded the prestigious first prize in the international design competition “University Within a Park” for their outstanding landscape master plan for King Khalid University in Saudi Arabia. In addition to his teaching and research responsibilities, Dr. Habibullah holds key leadership positions within the Department of Landscape Architecture at KAU. He serves as the Chairman of the Strategic Plan Committee and coordinates the graduate program, contributing to the development of the department’s future direction. Furthermore, he is a valued member of the Higher Strategic Planning Committee of the College of Architecture and Planning, where he plays a crucial role in shaping the faculty’s trajectory and ensuring the continued excellence of the Landscape Architecture department in education and research. Recognized for his expertise and knowledge, Dr. Habibullah actively participates in the Organizing Committee for the Landscape Middle East Awards. Through this involvement, he lends his valuable insights to acknowledge and celebrate remarkable achievements in the field of landscape architecture. Prof. Zain H. Yamani – Director of the KFUPM Interdisciplinary Research Center for Hydrogen and Energy Storage
A graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (Ph.D., 1999), Professor Yamani was appointed Director of the KFUPM Academic Improvement Program in 2005. In 2007, he was appointed as the founding Director of the Center of Excellence in Nanotechnology. In 2021, Professor Yamani was appointed as the first Director of KFUPM’s Interdisciplinary Research Center for Hydrogen and Energy Storage. Dr. Yamani is currently the Circular Carbon Economy KFUPM Representative with governmental and private organizations. Professor Yamani i founding member of the Saudi Physical Society (SPS). He enjoys “popularizing” science and had introduced a course into the KFUPM curriculum about “The Physics of How Things Work”. Dr. Yamani has over two hundred publications in refereed international scientific journals, in addition to over thirty patents issued from the USPTO, with others in the pipeline.
